Pop Up Box Card

Folds flat for posting

Hello crafty friends, every year I look for a new design idea for my Christmas cards and this time I've decided on Pop Up Box cards.
A bit more work to make but I think the end results looks fabulous. This is just the first one I have made but plan to do some with other colours and characters too. I was really pleased the way it turned out the picture doesn.t really do it justice.

I also made the girls Exploding boxes from their Parents and they loved them. I'll post them later.

I am entering the second card into Top Tip Tuesday   ...Favourite colour combo....Peach and Purple

My first Fairy House

Hubby and I are both off this week putting up a new fence and re arranging the garden. I had wanted to make a Fairy Garden a few years ago and just never had the time, so this week I decided to have a go.
I've been all over the internet looking at Fairy houses and eventually sent for one which should be here tomorrow. In the meantime I decided to have a go at making one myself.  I must say I haven't had so much fun in years. I bought a packet of Air  Drying clay and set about building one as I watched the TV tonight and tried to make it as quirky as possible, I even made a few mushrooms too. I forgot how much fun clay modeling is.  When it's dry in a couple of days I will paint it with Acrylics and give it a few coats of varnish.
My head is buzzing now with loads of other ideas for my Fairy garden, who knows it might end up a whole village...lol
I'll post more pics when it's finished.

Have you got a Fairy garden?... I'd love to hear about it.....

The end of an era....

Today I made a very difficult decision. After 5+ years on the Charisma Design Team I have decided to resign.

It is becoming more and more difficult for me to devote time to my DT work and I feel I'm running around like a headless chicken with so many projects on the go, not just crafting but stuff on the home front too .
When Carly invited me to join the DT  I was thrilled to bits, that was more than five years ago now when Charisma Cardz first started. Over the years I have been lucky enough to visit thousands of your Blogs and I have enjoyed all of the fabulous creations you have entered into our Challenges, and learned so much along the way, but sadly it's time for me to move on.

I'll still be crafting and popping the odd card on here from time to time and maybe a few other projects that I have in mind as well, so watch this space.

Thanks for your visit today, Happy crafting !!

Special Birthday...

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
Today I thought I would share this card with you for an 85th Birthday commissioned by one of my friends for her Mum.  I have used my favourite little bear again, everyone always asks for him to be on their cards, he must be the most used stamp I have.
The papers are 1st Edition, I also used Spellbinders dies and Wild Orchid flowers. Organza ribbon and pearls from Meiflower. The lovely little metal butterfly I think was also from Meiflower but I can't say for sure.

Thanks for your visit today,

Teenage birthday boy

Good morning, I have a busy day ahead but just grabbed a few minutes to share my latest card with you.
Commission by a work colleague for her Son's 13th Birthday and he loves his Play station and X Box, like most youngsters of his age. Luckily I had this image from Mo Manning which is fabulous for boys cards and she also has a female version too if you have any young girls into gaming.
The papers are from Papermania , I've had these for years, the corners are Marianne Design die, and I also used Spellbinders dies to mount the image and the sentiment.
I have a day with my little three year old Grand Daughter today so sure to be a fun day and and exhausting one. We are planning a Frozen themed birthday party for her in November so I'll print off some pictures and we can cut them out, she loves anything to do with Frozen.
Thanks for popping into my blog today, have a lovely weekend.

CHARISMA WOULD LIKE TO SEE OTHER CRAFTS THAT YOU DO.....

Good morning crafty friends. Today's challenge over at Charisma Cards is all about the other Crafty stuff you do. No cards for this one please......My DT inspiration for you this fortnight is a 3D picture.

I recently saw a similar picture on Pintrest with butterflies and really liked it, so I decided to make one for myself. So here it is.....

A different angle to show the depth the butterflies create.

Materials used are..15" x 15" Artist canvas..Marianne Creatable Butterfly Dies...Mini  butterfly dies by Cheery Lyn Designs, First Edition papers and Brilliance inkpads in pink and green to distress the edges of the canvas.
Ive also seen a black and white version of this in the shops with the butterflies in a circle and it was very expensive. This one only cost the price of the Artist canvas which was £8.00 so I recon I saved myself a fortune. I'm really pleased with it and it is now in my newly decorated spare room.

I hope you enjoy our challenge for you this time and look forward to seeing all your amazing creations. Don't forget to pop over to the Charisma challenge blog and feast your eyes on the teams creations.
Thanks for you visit today, Happy Crafting !!

Hunkydory 70th Mum....

This was a card commissioned by a friend of mine for her Mum's 70th Birthday.
I decided to use the lovely Hunkydory set of card and toppers I had just bought and complimented the floral design by adding flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. With card this beautiful you really don't need a lot of extra embellishments so I just added the Sentiment, an Organza bow and a sweet little heart charm. Inside is plain and simple and I added another little topper on the left hand side which you can just see a glimpse of in the pic.
I'm really pleased to say she loved it !!

Well that's me for now, time for a cuppa I think!!.

Happy crafting
