TEENAGER BIRTHDAY...

Hi there, not been around much this weekend as my Mum was rushed to hospital on Saturday and I've been running back and forward visiting. She had an allergic reaction and went in to shock and couldn't breathe and was vomiting for hours. Thankfully she has come through it but they won't let her home yet 'cause her blood presure is too low. She is 89 and very active for her age. She is allergic to eggs and had a Chicken Mayonaise sandwich without realising there was mayonaise on it. The nurses in the A & E were absolutely brilliant and so nice. Hopefully she will get home in a few days. Fingers crossed

So I've just managed to get this card done tonight for an order for a 13th birthday. The DP is Doodlebug with an overlay of a decoupage sheet, sorry can't remember the name of it or who makes it....but it's perfect for a teenager card. The teen image is on the sheet also an I've mounted it onto oval nesties. Glammed it all up with some stickles. Off to bed now for me now as I've got work in the morning. Thanks for popping in.

Lily Nouveau....

Over at Charisma Cardz , Carly sets her DT a challenge every month and this time it's POP UPs. For the front of the card I used the Lily Nouveau image from Cuddly Buddly and decoupaged it. Inside there is a pop up Lily on a pad. It's a wee bit fiddly to do, but quite easy. I didn't put too much decoration on the inside I wanted the lily to have center stage...lol.
Here is the link to the site with the instructions Simple Pop ups you can make. There are loads there some more difficult than others but they each have step by step instructions. Why not have a go!!!

SCRAP IT... AT CHARISMA CARDZ....

Hello again, This week at Charisma Cardz we want you to show us your scrap pages/ albums.

My page for the DT sample is one that I did for my eldest Son's graduation. You can see the layout on Vee's sketch Pad if you want to use it. It was a 12 x 12 layout and I was trying to get as many pics on as poss without overcrowding the page. Pop over to Charisma and join the fun, this week the lovely Linnie from Cute Daisy May is offering the winner a choice of any (yep ANY) 5 digi sheets!!! what a lovely prize. I'll be back soon with another card to show you that I did for Carly's Challenge for her DT on Charisma. Thanks for popping in.

Willow & Oakley Christening...

Hi everyone hope you're having some sunshine where you are, we have had another really wet and miserable day today up in Scotland. Just what we needed... Ah well as long as the weekend is nice when I'm off work it's not so bad.
Right on to my cards. Two Christening cards for children aged about 5 ,I think!! I really struggled with the images for these as I couldn't put babies on them like I normally would. Then I remembered Willow and Oakley from the WOJ Spring set and I was a happy bunny. The only thing was the little girl has short bobbed hair.....Willow had bunches....mmmmmm!!! So I masked out the bunches and made her hair short and it worked !!.. I was really pleased 'cause April my friend went to the trouble of showing me a photo of the children when she asked me for the order so I was trying to match the images... if you see what I mean. So it was a success in the end. Phew!! The same DP on each card is from Craft Creations, I actually bought this paper for my Christmas cards and it's nearly all gone...already. I love it and have been using it a lot. Now I'll have to stock up again to do my Christmas cards....lol Hope you like them. I'm off now to get a cuppa. Take care...

BINGO BIRTHDAY....

These two cards are for a girl in work...... she wanted a bingo theme on one with a bit of humour ( that's inside) and I'm gobsmacked 'cause the lilac has photographed really well this time. I don't know what I did different but these are exactly the colours on the card....the DP is Craft creations and Papermania. The Bingo Prayer I
Googled for and mounted it onto Labels 2 Nesties. The rest is from my stash.

The second card, for the same birthday, is a design I've used many times as everyone seems to like it. The DP is K & Co, image is Forever Friends,Embossing done with Elegant Swirls CB folder, punch is Fiskars, and the flowers were in a Candy box I won on Sassy's blog a while ago. I'm working in the morning so I'd better get some shut eye. Keep crafting...........

Vee's Sketch Pad.....

Hellooooooo again!!!, Oh I don't know how I ever get any cards done, I'll have to close this laptop....lol... anyhow I came on to tell you I've put a scrapbook layout on my Sketch blog. Hope you get some use from it. See ya...definately off to make my cards this time...

NO FLOWERS....NO BOWS...!!!

Well this is a first for me I've usually got both ribbons and flowers on my cards. This one is for an order for my friend Jan in work for her little Grandson.
I've used Sketch #4 from Vee's Sketch Pad, an A5 card and all the images are Cuddly Buddly downloads even the letter " d ". The DP is from Lakeland Plastics and Papermania. Balloons are a Sizzix Die and the cupcake is a piece of clipart. I decoupaged the puppies just to make them stand out a wee bit.
Well must get some dinner now, after that, another few orders and a scrapbook page layout for Vee's Sketch Pad. So if scrapbooking is your thing, pop over later and have a look.

Pokemon.....

Hi everyone happy Saturday....The sun is shining at last up here looks like it's going to be a lovely day. This card was for a order for a girl in work. She loved it thank goodness!!. I always worry in case people don't like what I design. .....Anyway as you can see her little boy loves Pokemon so I googled for an image and came up with this. The buff coloured card is Basil Basic, striped paper is from my stash, the circles and the frame were all cut on my Robo. The embossing was done with the happy birthday folder from Cuttlebug. I edged all the shapes and papers with Mediterranean blue brilliance ink pad. The self adhesive number 8 is made of aluminium and came from my husband's work. He got them for me along time ago when they were all being thrown out and they are fab for cards. I haven't a clue what they were used for but I was delighted when I saw them ,they just stand right out on your card.

I'm off now to tidy up my space here and put up a rod and small tubs that I got from Ikea yesterday.

Don't forget you can find a sketch to play with at Vee's Sketch Pad

Have a lovely weekend.

Deep Purple....

A better view of the 3D detail on the dress.

Hello again, final post before I hop off to bed. This card was made earlier this week and I forgot to post it on here, I've changed my hours at work (don't work Mondays now...yipeeeee) and I've been running late with everything. So without further rambling from me, here's what I used.
Image is decoupage from Craft creations
Cardstock Cryogen white Craft Creations embossed with CB elegant swirls folder.
Flowers from stash
Ribbon from stash and matched to the colour of the bridesmaid's dress.
Other paper and mirri card from stash.
I get really annoyed when I have to photograph purples and lilacs 'cause they always look blue :(
The colours are much nicer in real life, very deep purple and lilac.
Have a nice weekend every one, I've got my lovely Grandsons today then Hubby and I are off out to a Civic Reception (ooooo!!! very posh) in the Town Hall to celebrate the Centenary of the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth district bowling association. Dinner speeches the works, and hopefully a wee dance too. Thanks for popping in....

Hi everyone Thursday again, where did the week go... The challenge over at Charisma today is an Inspirational Picture from Carly. The colours are Pink Green and Lemon. Pop over and join in the fun this week there is a fab prize to win.

I loved this combination. My card was made with K & Co papers that I got from QVC a few years ago and starring.....little Tilda , a ribbon from my stash and flowers from Poppicraft. The sentiment is PB and was given to me by my blogging buddy Natalie. The buttons at the top right are from another friend and fellow Charisma DT Sally. She sent me some fab goodies and a lovely card for my birthday and these little doodle bug buttons were part of it. I've been saving them 'cause I really like them and don't want to part with them...lol but they just finished this card off nicely. The layout is my own Sketch # 2 which you can find on Vee's Sketch Pad. A new venture just started this week why not pop along and pick up a sketch to play with.

FRIDAY SKETCHERS AND SECRET CRAFTER....

Hi there, I managed to make one card tonight , I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers ....and Secret Crafter Saturday want to see... Cute Bugs..... Well I thought this little guy from Dustin Pike was as cute as you'll get. I coloured him with Copics ( as usual...)and then gave his wings and raindrops some stickles to make them sparkle. The papers are from Craft Inspirations and I did some faux stitching round the edges ( too lazy to set up my sewing machine...) and distressed them a little with Mediterranean blue Brilliance ink pad. The sentiment is from Daisy and Dandelion and the flowers are from Poppicraft. I quite like this one I think it's the colour combo.... blue and green always go well together. I really like this sketch and I'm running Christmas designs through my head using it, so at some point in the next few days you may see me use it again. Thanks a lot for popping in.
