My goodies from the SECC today.......

Hi there!!, I hope you all had a great Saturday. I was at the SECC with my friend Elaine and we had a great time. I picked up a few essentials and a few new things to play with as you can see in the pics below.
I have taken close ups of it all just for Carly...lol...... she's been dying to know what I bought....
When you lay it all out it doesn't really look like much but as you are all probably aware it cost a wee fortune...lol  Not that I care 'cause it's worth every penny....lol
Here's the list.........
Hougie Board, LOTV Christmas sentiment Christmas stamp and Christmas squares. Tape, Tacky glue, Star Dust and Red stickles,Snow it all(looks fab when glittered), SMASH book woohoo! got one at last, book rings, to make smash books for my Grandsons. Album refills, large scalloped cards, Plain Spellbinders Ovals, A4 glittered card and last but not least Majestix stamp set. I was quite impressed with the samples that were being made with this set so decided to get one. There are endless ways you can use it. Elaine got one too.

That's it from me today I'm off to have a wee glass of wine and play in my craft room I've got loads of ideas running round my head now, I just love the craft show it's so inspiring.

Spinner card for an 18th Birthday.......

This step card was made for a footie mad teenager. I was trawling the net the other night and came across a spinner card. I haven't seen one of these in years so I decided to make this style for the 18th card as I thought it would fit well with the football theme.
I have known how to make this for years but this is the first time I have ever made one and I must say I was really pleased with the finished result.
The background paper is vellum . Numbers are a Sizzix die.I used Labels 2 Nesties and Swiss dots embossing folder. The little boots are stickers and I put two together with the fiber between. The spinner is a mobile phone charm made of rubber and it spins really well. When I showed this card to my Son Matt he was so impressed  he took a video with his phone to show his mates...lol If you want to have a go at a Spinner card you can find the instructions on Youtube here.

I'm off to the SECC craft show tomorrow in Glasgow, really looking forward to it.  Thanks for popping in and I hope you have a great weekend.

A simple Birthday card using LOTV cute square

Hi! I hope you have all enjoyed a lovely weekend, mine was good apart from the fact that I've been feeling yukky since getting my Flu jab, Hubby and I went out  shopping on Sat, just to pass the day and came home with a new Suite....lol  well not literally it will be here in 11 weeks.
We were going to get one in the New Year but came across one we just loved and it was a great price too so we decided to get it. So.....yes you've guessed it I'm now looking for all the soft furnishing to match....lol.... It's dark brown and I was thinking of Teal to contrast, or I might just keep it all Natural colours. I've got plenty of time to decide and I'll probably change my mind again knowing me.

Sorry to bore you with my decor decisions on to my card now.
Firstly it looks orange...ahhhh!! but it's Red. All be it a bright Red but it was definitely Red. The image is a LOTV cute square, the papers and spotted ribbon are from my stash, the sentiment is LOTV and the flower and metal corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Instead of using my Nesties for this one I decided to cut a white border and scalloped square with my Craft Robo. The person that received it loved it so I'm quite happy.
I'm off to get on with some more Christmas cards now, I'm way behind with them, I bought a couple of nice images online today so I'll be colouring them and making a few cards in the next few days.
Have lovely week ahead........

LOTV Flying Angel and a recycleTip....

Hello again, today I have a Christmas step card to share with you I made for a commission. I have used LOTV Flying Angel and coloured her with my usual Copics then added a little Star Dust Stickles. Other items used are....paper from the Me To You Winter Wonderland pack, fabulous papers!!! White Knit In Lace with a silver trim, Dusky pink 25mm Organza ribbon and large crystal brad from Mei Flower, Large flower Wild Orchid Crafts, Martha Stewart Holly punch, deep pink adhesive pearls from The Hobby House and the Circle sentiment is my own, designed in word art.

The large snowflake below was punched with a  Sizzlit die.
You can't really see it very well in the pic but it is cut out of the sponge packaging you get with mail order goods sometimes. I had been saving it up every time I ordered an outfit for the four weddings I've been to this year and decided to have a go at snowflakes. In real life they look fab but as I said the photo does not do it justice. Just a wee tip for you, look around and see if you can use other materials for your die cutting you never know what treasures you might find...lol

Below is a photo of the snowflakes before I attacked them with stickles, you can see them much better against the green background.

Well that's it for me today, thanks for sticking with me to the end of the post, I'm off to get on with more Christmas cards and I might look for a challenge or two to fit my card. I don't seem to have the time these days to look for them, so I'll have a wee browse.

LOTV Cheers bear....

Good morning everyone, such a wintry day here so I'm spending the day in my craft room. Only October and already we have snow and sleet. Brrrr thanks goodness I don't have to venture out for anything today.
On to my card. It was Hubby's Birthday at the weekend and this is the card I made for him.
I used the Cheers bear from LOTV, just love him to bits. The papers are My Minds Eye Paris  & Co, I picked these up online in a sale somewhere and now wish I had bought more the colours are great for male cards, mostly teal and brown and they are double sided. The button, heart brad and ribbon are from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.
That's it from me today, I hope you're having better weather than we are. Keep warm...........my heating is on today...lol
