Lights, Camera.... ACTION !! Kenny K digi.

Here she is again ...lol I just love this image from Kenny Kiernan, she's called Movie Star and was just perfect for this card. The person this card is for loves New York, Lights, Drama, Movies etc. Her Aunt who works beside me asked me to make a card with these elements. I think I've covered most of them.
I decided a  Step Card would suit it best
The image.....Movie Star,Kenny K
DP..... Papermania Rose Garden
New York City Light photo from Google, I added some Diamond Stickles to give the effect of the lights in the skyscrapers.(if you click on the card you will see a larger image.)
some film strip along the bottom, also from Google.
Lights , Camera, Action  from Google
Sentiment is a Font called Broadway.....well it would have to be wouldn't it...lol
Flowers and all the bling from my stash.

I really hope she likes it..........I'll find out tomorrow. I also made another card for the same Birthday girl but you won't see that one till Thursday as it's my DT card for this weeks Charisma challenge.
I finish up tomorrow for a two week break....woohoo!!! I'm so looking forward to some ME time. Hopefully I will get some stuff done in the garden and the house while I'm off. I was away on holiday in May so this is just a break at home....unless some fantastic holiday deal pops up.....lol.

For my DT card this week I have used a fab little digi from our sponsor Robyn's Fetish. I think it's so cute. I've taken a liking to pig images ever since I was asked to do a Birthday card with a piggy image for a friend a while back.
Ive kept it fairly simple using Nesties and an embossing folder Elegant Swirls from Cuttlebug. The rest is from my stash.
You can see the other Charisma Gals fabulous creations here.

Not my usual........and a new header

Hi, today has been really wet so I had some time in my craft room and coloured this adorable image from Funky Kits.
She is called Flora and I decided that a vintage card would suit her best so I set out with that in mind. I was really pleased with the end result, so much so that I decided to make a header for my blog using this card. As you can see I have changed the sentiment to my blog name and put a lace background around it.  I have been searching for a header for quite some time and I loved this image so much that I just knew it was perfect.
The papers are all from my stash, and I coloured cream lace with my Copics to match.
I used Joy Craft and Marianne Creatable dies and Nesties.
Flowers and gold corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbons from stash.
I really enjoyed making this card and I would love to hear your views so if  you have the time to leave a comment I would really appreciate it,  as I don't venture into Vintage very often although I really do love the style.
Thanks for popping in

Some pics of my new craft room...

At last it's finished...my craft room has undergone a transformation in the last few weeks. A new carpet and painted, then my son Matt built me a new work surface the length of the room....sooooo much space!! We added my Mum's sideboard this week when we cleared her house as it doesn't match any of my furniture downstairs, it's just perfect. Below are some pics to let you see how it has turned out. This is quite a long post apologies for that, but you can't show a whole room in just one pic...lol
So here we go from the left side of the room as you enter the door drawers for A4 paper, I got these in Ikea years ago and card shelving from my work.... when they asked if anyone wanted them I thought all my Christmases had came at once...lol it takes all my 12x12 paper and card. The boxes above the drawers are full of beads, brads, bling and charms.

Next to that I have all my flowers, craft Robo, and in the purple box are stamped images, in the white box and spotty box are my clear stamps. Oh! and that's Edward my Steiff bear he lives in here with some other bears that are dotted about.
Below that I have a trolly with all my punches on the bottom and paper blocks and envelopes on the top, also boxes of photos.

Here it is pulled out ready to use.
This is where I work.Under the window where there's plenty of natural light. I have my rotating thingy with my copics, an old toilet roll holder with all my tapes, can't throw anything out me!! To the left my cutting tools. In the white basket I have pearls and bling and some sticky fixers. In the middle a variety of stuff for Prisma pencil colouring and a few Copic refills, some glue and other stuff I use all the time.

If you're still with me up to now well done , told you it was long.........he he!!  next is my laptop, printer,  Big shot machine and all my Nesties and embossing folders are in the black and silver box. Above that, ribbons and lace.
All the Betty Boop stuff was found in my Mum's house last week when we cleared it out so I thought it deserved a show case. I'm now a Betty Boop fan.......... For those that don't know the story she is now quite happy in a Nursing Home ( my Mum that is  not BettyBoop...lol) so her house had to be emptied.
The sideboard is filled with paper, boxes full of embellishments boxes of completed cards and loads of jars waiting to be filled. The two top drawers are filled with wooden stamps and the bottom two with stationery.

Phew......... hang in there we're nearly finished just the cupboard now. It's nearly always open but it does have a mirror door . In the bottom is our previous TV unit, came in very handy and holds all my Scrap booking stash.
As you can see this space is crammed full including my little sewing machine all my pens and pencils and paints, empty tubs, more paper and card, ribbons hanging on hooks, boxes waiting to be altered, chip board shapes behind the teddies and some stamped images.

Lastly this shelf has all sprays and distressing stuff , in the silver box is my Copic Air gun which I'm sorry to say I've hardly used....pencils and paints on the left.
Congrats if you made it to the end, you deserve a cuppa after this.
I love my new space it's just the way I've always wanted this room to look, I don't suppose it will stay this tidy for long ..lol I'm afraid I'm one of those crafters that needs everything out while I'm creating to get some inspiration so It's nearly always messy .
Thanks so much for your visit and I hope you enjoyed seeing my new space.
Happy Crafting

Wedding Day...Cream and Gold

Hello... thanks for popping into my crafty space, I've been searching the web all day trying to find a new background for my blog and have finally settled on this one. I wanted something really simple but elegant and I think this one fits the bill, what do you think?
Getting back to my card, I was asked by my friend Susan to make a Wedding Day card in Cream and Gold and this is the design I came up with. I have used a LOTV  image and coloured it with Copics. The broad ribbon is from
B & Q (watch those bargain bins !!!) and the corners are from The Hobby House. Roses from Wild Orchid crafts. The gold bling on the base is from John Lewis ( bargain bins again !!!) and I used Nesties for the mounts.

I hope you have a fab weekend wherever you are, I'll be back tomorrow with pics of my revamped  craft room.
Watch this space!!!!

Week #23 a creation with a number at Charisma

Hello there, thanks for popping into my crafty space today. This week at Charisma my lovely teamie Joanne would like to see numbers on your creations.
For my DT inspiration this week I have used one of my PB piggy images and coloured it with Copics. I have used My Minds Eye papers along with Martha Stewart Arch border punch and Nesties. The ribbon is from my stash, gorgeous isn't it? I love it. The flowers  are a mix of Wild Orchid and Hobby House and the metal corner is also from the Hobby House. The fabric flowers I've had for years and I added little pink pearls to the centers. The number 13 is of course a Peel Off.
Quite PINK....lol
This weeks sponsors are Make It Crafty and they are giving 3 digital stamps to this weeks lucky winner.
Looking forward to seeing all your fab creations again this week.

Toodle Pip!!!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who played along last week with my male card challenge, your projects were all amazing I was  sooooo  impressed. I think you've all lost your fear of doing male cards judging by the amount of entries we had.... over 200....fantastic!!!. Right onto this weeks theme which has been set by my Charisma buddy Allison and she would like to see
  SOMETHING THAT FLIES.
Our sponsors this week are Simon Says Stamp and Pink Cat Studio and as always they are offering fab prizes for you to win.  So what are you waiting for pop over to the Charisma blog now and have a look at the fabulous projects the Charisma Gals have created for your inspiration this week, and....while your there check out my Top Three from last week and of course the winner...
IT COULD BE YOU!!!

My DT sample this week is a little heart shaped tin which has been altered and as you can see I have used a beaded Dragonfly on the top. I was lucky enough a few years ago to win a fabulous Candy from Sassy and these little embellishments were among the goodies. On the lid I have added a heart cut on my Craft Robo (which has been sadly neglected of late) and also some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and some braid and ribbon from my stash.
Thanks for popping into my blog today  I hope you have a lovely weekend wherever you are in the world.
Happy crafting
