HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARISMA!!!!!

Hi everyone it's Charisma's 1st Birthday!!!! today so the theme this week is
CELEBRATIONS.
My DT card for this week is an Easel card made with K & Co papers, HOTP Celebrate stamp and Anita's May your wishes come true. The image is of course Sarah Kay which I must confess I've altered a little. The pressies were Christmas ones so I masked them out and only used the plain pressies. The flowers are from my stash and the flower centers from The Hobby house, as is the Sarah Kay stamp.

We also have a Birthday blog hop and we hope you will all join in and have some fun and maybe collect a few prizes along the way!!!.

So here's how it works.....Make you way over to the Charisma challenge blog and prepare to be amazed at the absolutely fabulous prizes we have lined up for you to win, and then you start the hop at Carly's blog and go round each DT in turn. There is also a prize on each DT's blog and within each post we each have a different word, which when put together make up a sentence. You have to find these words, make the correct sentence and post your answer in the comments section on the Charisma Challenge blog. Nothing could be simpler!!!!

We have loads of sponsors this week giving away an array of fabulous prizes so remember to check out the Charisma Challenge blog

I am also offering a clear stamp set with a Birthday theme, sticky crochet, assortment of ribbons and ten charms as my prize for one lucky winner who leaves me a comment, and if you like become a follower but it's not necessary. The winner will be announced here at 9.30am GMT on the 7th Jan 2010. and I will ship world wide.

If you've come here from Jan's blog then you're on track, whoo hoo!! and you now need to hop over to Leanne for your next word and another fab prize to win.

Hope you enjoy our 1st BIRTHDAY hop!!!! I'm really looking forward to 2010 and all your crafty creations once more. Here's to another crafty year....Wishing you all the best for Happy and Peaceful New Year!
Good luck everyone and have fun!!!

I'm off work today so maybe I'll get them done...hopefully!

My DT card for this week is featuring the Lovely Tilda...!! I was sent this image from a blogger ages ago and I don't even know which Tilda she is, so If anyone can tell me I'd love to know, I know she's quite an old one (OOOPS!!! sorry Tilda !!) I'll rephrase that...an early one!! lol...I've coloured her with Copics and I used Wild Asparagus papers. The ribbon is either Papermania or Dovecraft, not sure and the flowers and brads are from my stash. I'm also entering this card at Friday Sketchers , I used their fab layout.

This time we have 2 great sponsors offering fabulous prizes and there will be two winners....so you have 2 weeks to play with our challenge. Looking forward to seeing all you lovely creations.

CREATIVE CARD CREW, GOLD OR SILVER

After making a Christmas card with this image yesterday I decided to ink Melinda again and mask her with my Magnolia big daisy stamp. This card is for my Niece Carolyn who is 18 this week. The papers are Regency from Papermania, the flower is a mixture, and the charm is from The works. I used Oval Nesties and the image is coloured with Copics.
The Creative Card Crew are looking for Gold or Silver on your cards, the flower center and the key are both silver so I'm entering it there.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, thanks for popping in.

WOJ ....SPARKLE

This card is for WOJ Sparkle challenge. I've been trying to use up some papers that I have that are all traditional colours, but.....I don't really have any traditional looking stamps. So I thought I would use this stamp by Elizabeth Bell it's called Musing Melinda and I just adored the stamp the very first time I saw it. The sparkle is on Melinda. Although the stamp is not technically a Christmas one, I think it looks okay on a Christmas card.
I just put it on here to let you see it but I won't be using it 'cause I've smudged the snowflakes.. oh dear!!. Never mind I can do it again 'cause I've got quite a lot of the papers left.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you have a lovely weekend.....

Just Magnolia ....someone special

OOOOPS!!!!! I MISSED THE CHALLENGE BY A FEW MINUTES....SOB SOB!!

Hi there, It's so nice to use the papers and stamps I love and make a card for me for a change, sometimes at this time of year you can get so bogged down with orders and doing things for other people, it's just nice to do one for myself. This card is for Just Magnolia challenge...Someone Special

I've coloured Tilda with Copics and added Liquid Applique to her hat and boots with a little stickles added before drying just to give it a bit of Christmas sparkle.

Papers ...Wild Asparagus My minds eye

MS border punch

Circle Nesties

Ribbon from stash

Poinsettia cut on my Robo and Papermania brad with Hobby House bead cup.

I'm off now to finish a WOJ Christmas card that I started yesterday. Be back soon.....

Charisma challenge Red Green White or Silver....

Hi , here we are Thursday again what a quick week!!.

This week our challenge has been set by Carly...and she would like to see a colour combo of Red Green White or Silver on your crafty projects. I decided to cover a little gift box for one of my Chrissy Pressies. I used Dovecraft paper, Ribbon from Stash and the Poinsettia was cut on my Robo. I've added a little greeting from last years left over stash and a lovely Organza ribbon. Very simple to do and makes a small gift really special.
Why not have a root around your cupboards I'm sure you'll have a few boxes form last year just crying out to be recovered and recycled. Have fun......

Manga for Christmas

Hi everyone hope you are all having a fab week. I've just finished a stint of Jury Duty....Thank goodness that's me done for the week. I was getting a bit worried in case it would interfere with my Big Christmas Lunch with my two crafty chums Elaine and Maureen. We save up the whole year and have a fab Posh Christmas Lunch and drinks, I'm really looking forward to it on Monday.

Right now back to the card. As you can see I've used my Manga Baubles stamp from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits. I love this stamp and it's great fun to colour. Ive coloured it with Copics in traditional colours this time 'cause I have loads of papers in these colours.
The top paper is Christmas Traditional from Dovecraft, and the green is Basic Grey. The Poinsettia and border were cut on my Robo and darkened down with Colour Box pigment ink. Right of now to do a couple more then I'll have a count and see how many more Christmas cards I actually need. I'm trying to get some time to try out stamping on candles again. I made a hash of it last year...lol ...I think I was in too much of a hurry.....hoping I can master it this time. Thanks for popping in and for all your lovely comments recently, I really appreciate it especially at this time of year when we are all so busy with lots to do.

BIG CAT...

Hi!! hope you are all having a lovely week.
This card is for my friend Dorothy's Aunt who LOVES big cats and animal prints... so I remembered I had some Joanna Sheen images. I opted for the coloured image as I don't think I could have done it justice if I had coloured it myself. I used a copper embossed animal print paper for the background and some flowers from Poppicraft to tone with the colour of the Cheetah/ Leopard not sure which it is....lol..... I think they're all lovely anyway what ever they're called. I'm not a cat lover as such but I do like the Big Cats they are so elegant.

Surprisingly the metallic paper photographed pretty well for a change so you can see the true colour in the pic. Hope all you cat lovers like my card and I hope the birthday girl does too.....

Mo's Digital Pencil.. Video Boy...18th

Another quick post as I'm working in the morning. I was asked to do a card for an 18 year old who loves his XBOX and other video gaming, so I immediately thought of this image that I've had my eye on for ages over at Mo's Digital Pencil. As soon as I saw it a few weeks ago I knew I had to have it. It's just perfect for all the boys cards I'm always making for our family and for orders. I'm always being asked to do cards for teenagers and I'm running out out images. I know I will use this one over and over, I think it's the best guy image I've ever seen... well done Mo!!!
I found another challenge blog tonight Project Tuesday and they want Easel cards so I've entered this card there.
Here's what I used.
Image Video Boy from Mo's digital pencil coloured with my Copics
Striped paper from stash
Grey Basil Basic, torn and wrapped with fibres from Dovecraft
Oval nestie( inside) circle, and labels 2 Nesties.

Thanks for taking the time to look

Hugs

first birthday and a 40th....

Hi all, two cards I made last night and never had time to post. A First Birthday card for a little girl and a 40th Birthday for a guy who 's whole life revolves around cars ever since he was a little boy. He's now a Mechanic, hence the decoupage I've used. The image on the baby card is from Cuddly Buddly. Sorry it's such a short post but I'm really busy trying to get orders done for this week as I've been called for Jury Duty next week and I don't know how much time I'll have for crafting , if any at all during the day anyway. Hopefully they won't need me and I'll be sent home like the last time...but you never know do you? So I'm playing safe and getting as much done now as I can. TTFN and thanks for popping in.
